What should I expect from the glamping experience at Clear Sky Resorts?

Our tagline – where NATURE meets COMFORT – best describes the guest experience at our resorts. Our Sky Domes offer modern accommodations with all the COMFORT of home – luxurious beds, private designer baths and climate-controlled heat & AC. Our Sky Domes also offer direct access to NATURE – open your door and walk out on to your private deck or patio. Sometimes, a little bit of the outside like insects or dirt will get inside your Sky Dome, especially if you leave your door open.  This is the glamping trade-off for direct access to the outdoors.

Are your Sky Domes heated and cooled?

All of our Sky Domes have guest-controlled heating and air conditioning to ensure our guests enjoy all the comforts of home.

Do you provide towels and toiletries?

We provide towels, shampoo, conditioner and body wash in all Sky Dome bathrooms.

Can I add an additional person beyond recommended capacity to my Sky Dome?

Capacity maximums are based upon the beds available in each Sky Dome. An additional person would be allowed under the condition that you would need to provide a mattress and bedding for that additional guest.

Do you provide shuttles to the resort from the nearest airports?

No, we do not provide shuttles at any of our resorts. We highly recommend you rent a car as it is the easiest way to get to our resorts and allows you transportation to explore the national parks and nearby scenic attraction at each of our resorts.

Are there electrical outlets in your Sky Domes?

Yes, all Sky Domes have electrical outlets to ensure our guests enjoy all the comforts of home.

Is free Wi-Fi available in your Sky Domes?

Yes, all Sky Domes, as well as our restaurant and Welcome Dome, offer free Wi-Fi to all of our guests.

Will I need a flashlight to find my way around the resort at night?

No, because we are a stargazing resort and don’t want to contribute to light pollution, we use dark sky compliant outdoor lighting.

Are maps available for each of your resorts?

Yes, you will receive a printed resort map of the resort at check in.  Resort maps are also available to view on our website at MAP URLs.

Can I lock my Sky Dome while I’m away?

Yes, all Sky Domes are lockable.

How safe are your resorts?

Our resort staff are available and monitoring our resorts 24 hours a day to ensure guest safety.

How do I reserve resort activities?

Contact our Front Desk, located in the Welcome Dome for scheduling resort activities. Activities schedules are available on our website at ACTIVITIES URL.

Is there a firepit at each Sky Dome?

No, there are communal artisan firepits available near the Welcome Dome at each resort. In addition, select Sky Domes at our Bryce Canyon location include a private firepit.  The rates for Sky Domes with firepits at our Bryce Canyon Resort are higher than similar Sky Domes without.

Will my cell phone work at your resorts?

Most likely your cell phone will have coverage at our resorts however the quality of coverage can vary based on your service provider. We suggest checking the coverage map of your service provider prior to arrival

Are pets allowed at Clear Sky Resorts?

At this time, only service animals are allowed at our resorts – no pets. The majority of National Parks welcome pets in limited developed area such as parking lots, on paved roads and viewpoints, and on limited trails with certain restrictions – pets must be on-leash or confined at all times, not left unattended in your vehicle and you MUST clean up your pet’s waste.

Do we need to bring our own bedding?

No, we provide luxury linen bedding and towels in all Sky Domes.

Are your Sky Domes serviced daily?

We do not offer daily housekeeping during your stay but housekeeping will bring you fresh linens, towels, and supplies upon request. They will also remove trash and dirty linens or towels upon request.

Can I bring my own food?

Yes, you are welcome to bring your own food. Every Sky Dome has a mini fridge for storing your own food. For heating your food, Grand Canyon has microwaves in the dining dome and Bryce Canyon has a microwave in each Sky Dome. We ask you to please always store your food inside a cooler or your Sky Dome mini fridge. Keep in mind that local wildlife have keen senses of smell and can be attracted to by your food from miles away. For this reason, we don’t allow outdoor grilling at your Sky Dome.

What is Clear Sky Resorts’ cancellation policy?

Reservations must be cancelled at least 30 days prior to your arrival in order to avoid forfeiting 100% of your deposit. If reservations are cancelled less than 30 days prior to arrival, your credit card on file will be charged the full room charge plus taxes. Whenever you cancel your reservation, we recommend that you save the cancellation number for your records. We also recommend that you consider getting trip insurance from a reputable third-party insurer prior to your trip. Clear Sky Resorts is not responsible for adverse weather conditions, personal emergencies or unplanned schedule changes.

What times are check in and check out?

Check in begins each day at 4:oo pm local time at our Welcome Domes. Check out is 11:00 am and late check out is available for an additional fee.

What should I pack?

We recommend sturdy shoes for hiking and navigating the path to your Sky Dome. Be sure to check the weather forecast prior to arrival to ensure you have packed accordingly for the weather conditions during your visit.

Do you have a pool or hot tub at your resorts?

At this time, we do not have a pool or hot tub at our resorts however both are planned for the future at our Bryce Canyon location.

Do you have a minimum stay?

No, we do not have a minimum stay but usually offer a slight discount on multi-night stays.

Are kids allowed at your resorts?

Yes, kids are not only allowed but warmly welcomed with lots of family friendly activities at all of our resorts.

Do you have quiet hours?

Yes, we enforce quiet hours after 10 pm at all of our resorts.

Are reservations required for dining at your resorts?

No, reservations are not required for dining at our resorts.

Can I dine at your resorts if I am not a guest?

Yes, we welcome non-guests to dine at our resorts.

What is the food like? Do you offer vegan and gluten free options?

Are meals included in your nightly Sky Dome rates at each resort?

No, meals are not included in your nightly Sky Dome rate.

Do you offer any discounts on lodging?

We usually offer early bird discounts if you book your Sky Dome before mid-April. We also offer a 10% military discount to active members of the U.S. military with proper identification upon check in. If valid military ID is not available at check in, guests will not be eligible for the 10% discount and will charged the full rate.
